Michael Vick Leads List of Most Hated Sports Figures!

Michael Vick Leads List of Most Hated Sports Figures!

The Q Company, a marketing firm, yesterday released it's list of the top six hated sports figures, based on a national survey. Though they did not say why these athletes were picked, I've made some educated guesses, and they're listed below along with their rankings on the list.

Number 1 - Michael Vicks (Philadelphia Eagles backup Quarterback)

The dog-fighting conviction. People don’t like it when you abuse and kill nice little doggies; especially those PETA folks. (But really, and truly? Not just those PETA folks!)

Number 2 - Tiger Woods (Zillionaire golfing legend)

Cheating on his wife with about a zillion women? Tsk, tsk, tsk. We all felt cheated by him – meaning we thought (we hoped?) he really had a squeaky clean personal life to go along with his squeaky clean media image.

Number 3 - Terrell Owens (Cincinnati Bengals Wide Reciver)

Um, because he’s an egotistical – though talented – creep?

Number 4 - Chad Ochocinco (Cincinnati Bengals Wide Receiver)

See above

Number 5 - Kobe Bryant (Los Angeles Lakers)

He’s been the sports fans’ whipping boy for years. Mainly from people who like Shaquille O’Neal. (Are we sure O’Neal isn’t part of the Q Group?) And oh, yeah . . . Kobe also cheated on his wife. Though, personally, I think he should have been given some "nice points" for the rock he bought her.

Number 6 - LeBron James (Miami Heat)

How dare he leave Cleveland!!!! Okay, it’s likely more the way he did it, rather than the fact that he did it. I mean, really . . . an ESPN special to announce his decision? Did he really think the world was THAT interested in his decision? I mean, yeah, I wanted to know, but I could have just gone with a regular old press release or even a press conference. Yes, yes, I know . . . the proceeds went to a good cause. But it just came off as extremely egotistical, and that’s on top of the whole state of Ohio considering him a traitor.

These are my guesses as to why the American sports fans hate the above athletes. What do you think?
